Five Holiday Drinks to Enjoy in your Hot Tub This Winter

The White Christmas Margarita

A great way to enjoy margaritas all year long with a holiday twist. This refreshing holiday twist on a classic will surely put you in the Christmas mood. 

Ingredients:
2 tbsp Coconut cream
2 tbsp Agave nectar
1/4 cup Lime juice
1/2 cup Cranberry juice, white
1/4 cup Coconut Rum
1/4 cup Cointreau
1/2 cup Tequila

Eggnog Hot Chocolate

What’s a holiday drink list without eggnog? This one’s good for the whole family and can easily be turned into a cocktail with a shot of your favourite Brandy or Rum.

Ingredients:

Eggnog
white chocolate chips
whip cream for topping
sprinkles
snowman Peeps
Combine eggnog and chocolate chips in a saucepan and heat to a simmer until all chips are melted. Ladle into mugs and top with whip cream sprinkles and marshmallows. (KleinworthCo)

Ingredients:

1 cup vodka
1 cup Champagne
1/2 cup Blue Curacao
1/2 cup Lemonade
6 cups Ice
Lemon wedge
White sanding sugar
Blend together vodka, champagne, blue curacao, lemonade, and ice. Run a lemon wedge around rim of each glass and dip in sanding sugar. Pour frosties into glasses and enjoy! (Delish)

Hot Buttered Rum

This rich, satisfying  and flavourful drink is basically comfort in a mug. How could you say no to sugar, spice, and warm melted butter?

Ingredients:

12 T. Unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp. Vanilla paste or extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground ginger
1/4 tsp. Ground nutmeg
Sea salt
Apple Cider (1/2 cup per drink)
Dark rum (3 T. Per drink)
Cinnamon sticks
Whipped cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Using a fork, mash together the softened butter with the vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Warm the apple cider. In each mug, add 3T. of rum, topped with 1/2 cup cider and stir in a tablespoon of butter. Add a cinnamon stick, dollop with whipped cream or ice cream (optional) and serve.

Holiday Cranberry Sangria

Wine is one of the go-to drinks to enjoy in the hot tub. This sangria is filled with citrus, cranberries and hints of cinnamon. The best part about this drink is that you can make it ahead of time and leave it in the fridge.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons agave nectar
1/4 cup brandy
1/2 cup cranberry juice
1 orange, halved and then sliced
2 limes, sliced
1/2 cup whole frozen cranberries
2 sticks of cinnamon
1 bottle of dry red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon)
1 cup seltzer water
rosemary sprigs for garnish

Add agave nectar, brandy, orange, lime, agave nectar, cinnamon sticks, cranberry and wine together in large pitcher. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Add seltzer water to sangria mixture right before serving. Pour over ice. (Joyful Health Eats)
