Are you considering transitioning to saltwater generation? Traditional chlorine pools can emit unpleasant odors and cause irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Chlorine products also tend to be more costly compared to pool-grade salt. Saltwater pools offer softer water that is gentler on the skin and eliminates unpleasant odors and fading of swimsuits.

Unlike pool-grade salt, which is highly volatile and requires careful handling, saltwater generation produces chlorine through electrolysis, eliminating the need for frequent addition of liquid or solid chlorine. Once pool-grade salt is added to the pool, the saltwater passes through a generator that converts it into chlorine. This chlorinated water effectively sanitizes the pool before reverting back to salt. This process results in lower levels of chloramine, the compound responsible for skin, eye, and lung irritation, compared to traditional chlorine pools. Additionally, saltwater generators maintain a consistent and stable chlorine concentration, unlike traditional chlorine pools where chlorine levels can fluctuate due to the frequent addition of large quantities of chlorine.
